Citizens Fiber Internet subscribers have the option to add on Managed Wi-Fi service, which includes rental of a carrier-grade wireless router. This router may be installed at the time of installation or picked up at our central office in Mammoth, PA. When you choose to use our carrier-grade router, we will include with your installation a complimentary Wireless Scan Report of your residence to determine wireless signal strength and internet speeds in various areas of the residence, and any interference issues that may cause service degradation. With Mesh Access Points, you can extend wireless coverage to areas of the residence that have weak signal strength, and seamlessly connect your devices to the nearest access point at any given time.
Citizens technical support can troubleshoot and replace rented equipment on the same business day if there are problems with the rented device. Equipment is replaced at no charge if it fails for any reason beyond physical/liquid damage.
The routers that Citizens provides are tested and capable of providing gigabit speed (up to 1,000 Mbps download and upload). Customers using a router that is not provided by Citizens will need to ensure that the router they use has the capability to achieve the speed of the plan that is selected. Customers must also sign a waiver to accept responsibility for technical issues related to that piece of equipment. Most routers are compatible with Citizens' internet services.

For customers who want to keep their existing number, a porting document will need to be filled out. Send this in to the office along with a copy of your most recent phone bill with your current provider. Please keep in mind that the porting process may take up to 10 business days, and that in specific situations, the port may not be possible. You will need to keep your current number active to be able to port. Canceling your current service may prevent you from keeping your existing number. Citizens will initiate the process and notify your current provider of the switch.
